Hello, We can shoot 100 yards on the field, but there is only really room for 1 boss down the right hand side, looking away from the road at the side of the hedge.
Tony

Thanks for that Rob. I think one of the problems might be the number of Members that regularly look at the site. For those without computer access maybe we should print off a sheet and place it on the notice board so people can just come along and tick a box.
Jane.

Russian Shot Cycle [by goldgetter]

News Discussion:: Russian Shot Cycle
I'm sure this made sense in Russian but the translation is quite amusing. Read this for a good laugh.

The Shot

The Shot
The concept of reduced manual techniques of archery.
I baseline data.
Contest of high rank.
The rifleman was on the line of fire in a convenient position for him on board.
Legs on the width of shoulders, feet, or parallel, or close to the situation in hand.
Bow and arrows chosen / tailored to match each other and the physical parameters of the arrow.
Onions, fixed on the hand strap, the lower his shoulder is on the inside of the knee or long needle cushion put the shooter on the ground.
Point of emphasis brush in the handle bow is in line with the forearm .**
Arrow - on a string. Fingers are not caught. Bowstring - fold in the first phalanxes of the fingers.
Fingers form a hook on the string and no other functions are no longer. Indicatory - on the boom, middle and ring - under. Flat palm, wrist and elbow are one line. In other words, the fingers on the string form a long hook, which ends at the elbow pulling his hands.
Onions stretched a quarter of a tension force. Onions stretch the back muscles, which will be involved and at the end of the shot.
Shooter looks at the target and the flag on the shield, defining a seat carry arrows in the case of weather with gusty winds. Deciding where to shoot, and looking at the aimpoint, imagine how to shoot.
If things go well, is a sense of one element that carries on a centrality hits.
If things go wrong as we would like, then scroll sequence of shots - a maximum of three, placing in the midst of an element of doubt.
If today specifically "not the day, then imagine the rhythm of the shot or the rate of fire 3 arrows .**
II Implementation of a shot at the tournament.
Shooter begin to build an easy shot - legs, stomach and luchnaya hand - the hand, depends on the bow.
Makes it in unbroken sequence:
- Muscle tone legs, firm depends on the land;
- Abdominal muscle tone, which is a kind ties between the bottom of the anvil shot - feet - and the top of the anvil firing - luchnoy hand (the hand, depends on the bow);
- Muscle tone luchnoy hands, launched at its full length.
By creating a base of fire arrows
- Exposes the head, on the projection of the string on the onion and place of forthcoming zavodki bowstring on the face;
- Not losing sight of the bowstring, pre-stretches the bow, placing the elbow pulling his hands at the end of the horizontal line of the shot;
- Zavodku take place simultaneously with the visual control over the remainder of the arrows clicker;
- Aiming, pulls the remainder of the boom and bypasses clicker;
- Flag hook fingers with the string, to limit the depth of depressed zavodki.
The rifleman remains after the shot,
- Without changing the muscle tone support - legs, abdomen, hands luchnoy;
- Continues to look to the point of sight until the moment of getting arrows in the panel.

Technology Implementation III-shot competition.
Feet.
Tips 1.Strelok your body slightly forward as if falling from not walking to their seats. Tilt occurs before the first sensation of tension in the toes. Thus the shooter locks the body in an upright position, preventing deviation back.
2. Incorporated into the work of your fingers on the legs, the arrows just breeds feet - heels together, toes apart. The movement is so low, what happens in sports shoes, shoes are not moving from their seats .. Through this movement, it includes the work of almost all leg muscles. Even distribution of muscular tension leg muscles protects the knee joint the arrow from falling into undesirable lock and as a consequence - in excess knee joint and also helps the arrow to continue to fix the body in an upright position, preventing the deviation, but the left-right.
By adding leg muscle tone muscle tone abdominal muscles.

Abdomen.
3.Strelok slightly straining abdominal muscles - the press as if wishing to feel that they are. This spine receives additional support when shooting at long distance as well as helping to prevent unwanted movement of the chest up, with further tension luka.K muscle tone legs and stomach shooter adds the last part easy shots - muscle tone hands ends in a bow.

Luchnaya hand - the hand, depends on the bow.
4.Strelok creates a slight pressure on the brush handle onions. After that, due to pressure on the brush handle onions does not change.
5.Zatem one shooter deploys synchronous movement of the forearm both hands: luchnoy hands - in the direction of the string, pulling the hand - in the direction of the string .*
6. Highlights hand luchnuyu far forward and down towards the board and stretches the bow at half the strength of its tension. Luchnaya hand while nominated for limiting the length of his bow and stretch the back muscles, which will be involved and at the end of the shot .*
7.Strelok raises upertuyu in half stretched bow, * launched on its entire length, luchnuyu hand (from the neck to the end of the handle) in the area of sight.
In order to ensure the angle of fire on long-distance shooter uses the slope of the upper part of the body in the lumbar spine, but does not increase the distance between the ribs in the thoracic spine by luchnoy hands.

By creating a support shot y of muscle tone legs, stomach and hands luchnoy, c trelok starts shooting himself:
- Installation of the head in the final position;
- Zavodka - ultimate strength of onions in the light of the length of the arrows;
- Visual inspection of the balance under the clicker;
- Dotselivanie with drawing arrows ispod clicker and after the clicker,
- Contraction of hook fingers with the string, has reached the limit of depth in the limit point zavodki force tension bow.
During the hands pulling the rack arrow nothing changes - the legs, stomach and arm luchnaya continue to support the work of pulling his hands.

Head.
8. The rifleman makes his head so that the design in a vertical plane in the middle of a string of onions and place its future on its zavodki litse.Strelok uses eye by pulling the hand. The second eye poluzakryt.
Bowstring, sproektirovannaya to stredinu bow, a sight not to, * must come from the middle of a bow to the place zavodki in a straight line.
This head is high, with a slight tilt forward (this removes the strain the neck muscles).
Top of head is above the center of gravity of the body and completes the vertical line of the shot.

Zavodka.
9. The rifleman, in the midst of a string designed onions and exposed to zavodki head string, one way leads zavodki string in place using the same muscles of the back and shoulder pulling his hands. During the movement of the string to a place zavodki shooter looks at the sight and peripheral vision sees coming, lose their shape a vertical line of the string. Lokot pulling his hands in that time coming to the end of the horizontal shot bowstring is in place zavodki, arrow slides under the clicker.

Visual control of the arrows under the clicker.
10. Shooter throws look at the arrow, and under visual control of the tip leaves a clicker, binds together the three components of the shot:
- The amount left of the boom - with a density zavodki and - with the end of the elbow pulling his hands - at the end of the horizontal shot.

Broach arrows ispod clicker.
11.Strelku is stretch in the horizontal shot 1 millimeter concrete boom .* It translates the view point of sight and continue to grow muscles and shoulder muscles of the back that extends beyond millimeter - a strictly horizontal position - for the click clicker, vdavlivaya the string in place zavodki the apparent already impossible depth.

Issue.
12. At this point, pulling his hands elbow flag from the end of a horizontal line shot toward pulling the muscles of his back and flag, along with a hook fingers with a string. Pull back and shoulder muscles alter the depth of hook fingers, razgibaya them in less than a deep hook. B status of the less deep hook fingers a string skirt, standing on the ground - proichodit shot.
During the contraction of hook fingers with the string tension in the muscle of fingers does not change.

Stay after the shot.
13. After the release of the shooter does not change anything in the anvil.
Onions commits leap forward and free fall, the limited record the hand or fingers on the hand strap.
14.Strelok continues to look to the point of sight .*
Feels like pridvinuta blade by pulling the hand to the spine and where the hook fingers after the release.
15.Strelok hears shot arrows on the board and links in a long horizontal line of sight point, the yield ispod clicker finger hook and place, now occupied, formerly owned by the elbow, the position at the end of a horizontal line.
** Half relax, the shooter is preparing for the next shot.

Supplement IV to the written.
** If you extend the radius of the forearm (radius) so that it will feel on the palm of your hand, the point will go hand in archery will be located either at this point or slightly above.
** Failure to hand in this time to determine the error in the technique can be offset by re-focusing attention to the search for errors in the rhythm of the shot. The same rhythm can be only one and the same sequence of shots of construction, which itself is the prevention of any errors.
5 .* wringing, spiral motion luchnoy hands of the shooter removes his hands from the elbow luchnoy pathways string, preventing the string to strike the elbow or forearm as well as make use of almost all groups of muscles luchnoy hands, which increases its effectiveness as a part of reliance vystrela.Skruchivayuschee, spiral motion in forearm pulling hook hands lead fingers on the string in a vertical, the string itself, polozhenie.Pri this increases the lower engagement fingers involved in the hook, which is important for a sense of the shooter vertical shots. Also, the movement arrows connects to the rest of the muscles pulling the hand, increasing the ratio of its efficiency.
6 .* Engaging from the very beginning of the shot (stretcher onions), the back muscles, which will take part in the boom broaches ispod clicker make a shot technique is sound.
7 .* While semi-stretched bow his physical weight is lost. Rifleman raises half a bow stretched to the point of sight, feeling only the force of its tension, and not its weight. This allows the shoulder luchnoy hands to stay in his natural position - for the best shot.
8 .* Design bowstring on the rings at gunpoint is not cost-effective, because the adjustment of the sight is changing its length, making the projection of the string fluid.
11 .* The value of the balance of the arrows under the clicker very individualna.Neosporimo that it should not vary from shot to shot.
14 .* If you take out the arrows in the gusty wind from the center of the target to another point of sight must be left in situ leaching throughout his desk, and a horizontal line of the shot and not return to the usual center misheni.Inache takeaways will not be productive.
** The degree of relaxation between shots strictly individual and depends on the physiological characteristics of the arrow as well as weather and time factors.

Done Arzhannikovoy Lyudmila with gratitude all those who for years had a direct or indirect participation in the creation of technology that shot / rekyurv / member of the national team of USSR, STATE, Holland / 1981-1997:
OI - 1 (1 bronze / com.)
FM - 5 (2 gold / com., 1 silver / com., 1 bronze / com., 1 silver / ind.)
Juventus - 12 (6 gold / com., 2 bronze / com. 3 gold / ind., 1 bronze / ind.)
Gr.Priz Europe - 2/ind.
World Record - 5 (2/kom.; 2/ind.- M1; 1/ind.- 60m).

September 21, 2008, Amsterdam.

Clicker usage [by dragonbyte]

Help, Tips and Tricks.:: Clicker usage
Hi, Today I learnt that I have been using a clicker completly wrong! I think this was to do with my mentality about it. Now I know what I have been doing wrong I would like to share this with you.

Before I was not always rotating the shoulder of my drawing arm, I was coming back to full draw and full anchor. The tip of the arrow was about 1cm in frount of the clicker still. At this point i would expand and streach to get the extra length out of the draw. By expanding and stretching i was messing up my form, and the streaching is probably one of the main causes of me hitting the inside of my bow arm elbow with the string.
My clicker arm has now moved forwards, I have changed my draw so that i fully rotate my drawing arm. The clicker is now set so that when im at 100% draw and set in anchor the clicker will fire. During the draw i now rotate my sholder round and come 99% around in to the draw, at this point i have my anchor and i can get my aim. To do the relase is simply now a case of dropping my drawing arm sholder that last little bit and squeezing my sholder blades.
This feels so much more natural and seams to flow alot smoother. I do not strain to get the arrow though the clicker and it keeps my form better. When your over stretching your form goes out and you put forces in to your body that should not be there, at the point of the release if your stretching your bow hand can move to the left (for a right hander) messing with the arrow as it leaves the bow.

To summerise, I know it sounds simple but.
Do not have your clicker set so that your at 100% draw and pull that little bit more to get 101%.
Have your clicker set for 99% of your draw and finnish it of at 100%

Hope that helps someone else.
(It's amazing what you don't notice what your doing yourself until someone points it out to you, If anyone sees me do anything wrong please tell me !!!!)
