At the end of the second half of the tournament when all archers have shot their 120 arrows, the Judge will call all archers to attention for the release of a volley of arrows at the standing targets. The Judges' orders for ewach volley of arrow will be, "Neck", "Draw" and "Release".

All archers to release together thus copying the Agincourt Release. The archer shooting the best gold from the three volleys is the winner of the Archers Helmet (Sallet), to hold for the year along with a gold cup and keepsake. The Sallet was hand-crafted by a local armourer, and donated by Richard Van Riel, Curator of the Pontefract Museum. Also there will be an award for the archer shooting the worst white whilst shooting the volley. The Judges decision is final.
